Recreated streets from 1930s Shanghai at the Shanghai Film Park.
If you remember watching “Lust, Caution” by Ang Lee or “Kungfu Hustle” starring and directed by Stephen Chow - most scenes from the movie were shot at this location… along with hundreds of movies and thousands of TV shows.
Why should you go:
Typical Tourist: If you’re in the city for a while, its a different scene with museum minus the crowd.
Photographer: This is a popular place for wedding photography. That said, you can get many great shots here, of buildings, actors dressed up, etc.
Bored Expat: The Film Park hosts regular paintball skirmishes in the Summer-Autumn months. GET IT!
However, its quite far from the city center - about 2h30m by public transportation, 1hr+ drive. Worth the visit if you’re living in the city! (Songjiang District)
